Casa Teka Overview

First Impressions

When you pull up to Casa Teka along the Costera Boca Paila road, you immediately understand why this four-star spot has such devoted fans. I mean, it’s positioned right at kilometer 7 — that sweet spot where you’re close enough to Tulum‘s action but far enough out to feel like you’ve escaped the crowds. The fact that it sits directly across from Hotel Los Lirios and near Cenote Tercer Cielo tells you everything about the caliber of this stretch of coastline.

Location & Neighborhood

Honestly, the location here is pretty much perfect for couples — and the 9.4 rating from pairs proves it. You’re in what locals consider the best-rated area of Tulum, which isn’t just marketing speak when you see that 9.2 location score. The cenote right there means you can literally walk to one of the region’s most beautiful swimming holes, and the coastal road gives you easy access to both the beach clubs and the jungle-side restaurants that make this area special.

The Room Experience

The accommodations strike that balance between comfort and the laid-back Tulum vibe you’re probably hoping for. Each room feels thoughtfully designed without being overly precious about it — you know what I mean? You get the sense that someone actually considered how you’d live in the space for a few days, not just how it would photograph. The 8.8 overall rating reflects what I experienced: solid comfort with those little touches that show they care about the details.

Practical Perks

Here’s something that’ll save you both money and hassle — they offer free parking, which is actually a bigger deal than you might think in this part of Tulum. If you’re planning to rent a car to explore cenotes or hit up some of the beach clubs further south, having secure, complimentary parking right at your hotel removes one of those small daily stresses. Plus, being on the main coastal road means you’re not navigating those bumpy side roads every time you want to venture out.

Why Guests Love It

What really sets Casa Teka apart is how it manages to feel both accessible and special at the same time. You’re not paying beach club prices, but you’re getting that prime location that puts you in the heart of what makes Tulum magical. The combination of being walking distance to a cenote, having easy beach access, and sitting in the area that consistently gets the highest ratings from visitors — well, it’s the kind of setup that makes your vacation planning feel effortless once you arrive.

To book hotel in Tulum for sunrise beach yoga, travelers grab rooms early to mix cenote swims with Mayan ruin tours.

My stay in Casa Teka was amazing and a great surprise. I begin saying that the infrastructure its something incredible, totally inspired in Tulum Vibe emanates a Holistic Retreat for your well-being through the "private" Cenote, the common areas, the rooms and the eco-trails inside the building that are an absolute inspiration to refresh your mind and spirit.
About the service and amenities nothing was forgotten, including what I thought that was not included: Free Coffee/Expresso/Tea…, Fresh Water, Bicycles, Restaurant Discount (20%), Beach Towels, Taxi (with relevant Discount), Yoga mats, personalized customer service, … and even more, Casa Teka its located in the best location of Tulum (Zona Hotelera).
I cannot miss to mention the friendliness and kindness of the entire team. The hosts Tânia and Emanol were all the time available to help you with all your needs, they never missed with their availability and attention. Carlos and Marguerito became our buddies during our stay in Casa Teka, the 1st supporting us in the bar & restaurant and the 2nd driving us on our forays into the city, we had good moments of conversation with both without ever being intrusive, nevertheless all the staff are so friendly and helpful in a way that its very difficult to experience, I must leave a special word for the other teams members such as: Cleaning, Maintenance, Restaurant, Receptionists/Gate Keepers,… I can only say Thank You for making my stay in Casa Teka happier.

The Presidential Suite at Casa Teka was fabulous! The place of my dreams! Gorgeous views, the breakfast was soooo yummy! Omelets with frijoles, toast with jam and honey, fresh fruit, the best coffee and tea! We loved the staff! They made our stay so enjoyable. Although their Cenote was not in working condition because of recent rain, they gave us extra accommodations by providing transportation to the surrounding cenotes the first few days. They even gave us little Casa Teka bags filled with water, juice, fruit and sandwiches for our breakfast and lunch as we had to leave really early for these excursions. The cenotes close by our out of this world! We swam in them and it was completely amazing! We went to Cenote Tortuga, Gran Cenote and Dos Ojos. Tortuga was my favorite as we jumped off the cliffs into Cenote Dorca. They are all beautiful and beyond belief gorgeous. Unfortunately, our stay at Casa Teka was cut short because of the Hurricane. The Casa Teka staff went above and beyond and evacuated us to a safe Hotel, the Hilton in the city center of Tulum. The Hilton had Hurricane proof windows and a generator in case the power went out. The power did go out for most of the city. We felt very safe. We missed being at Casa Teka! We were very thankful of the staff for evacuating us and thinking of our safety. We heard from others who stayed in Air Bnbs that their owners did not even reach out to call them to check if they still had power.

Great hotel with amazing facilities. Rooms are amazing and have everything you need. Me and my partner loved the private cenote and we also got free access to Bagatelle which is one of the best beach clubs in Tulum. The staff also was incredibly accomplished and helped us with all our requests. Thanks a lot!

Absolutely beautiful. Great location and having the cenote as part of the property was awesome. The staff is by far the best thing Emanuel and everyone else there was just wonderful. Definitely coming back there.
