When I first pulled up to Hilton Tulum Riviera Maya All-Inclusive Resort, I’ll be honest — the setting along Highway 307 isn’t exactly what you’d picture for a tropical getaway. But here’s the thing: once you step through those doors, the outside world just melts away. This four-star property knows how to create that all-inclusive bubble you’re actually looking for, and the staff genuinely seems happy to see you arrive.

Location & Getting Around

You know what surprised me about Tulum? The hotel’s position actually works in your favor. Sure, you’re not right in the heart of the ruins or beachfront action, but that means you get space to breathe — and honestly, the resort shuttle makes getting to the main attractions pretty painless. Couples especially seem to love this setup (I kept overhearing people mention how peaceful it felt), and I can see why. There’s something nice about having your own little corner while still being close enough to explore when the mood strikes.

The Room Experience

My room was actually larger than I expected — these aren’t cramped hotel boxes by any means. The air conditioning works like a dream (crucial in this humidity), and I appreciated the little touches like decent lighting for reading and enough outlets for all your devices. The bathroom was clean and functional, though don’t expect anything too fancy. What I really liked was how quiet everything stayed, even with families around. Food & Activities

The breakfast buffet is where this place really shines — I mean, they’ve got everything from fresh tropical fruits to made-to-order eggs, and the coffee is surprisingly good for resort standards. Throughout the day, the all-inclusive setup means you’re never hunting for a snack or drink. The fitness center is small but has the basics if you want to work off all that vacation eating, and there’s a game room that’s perfect when you need a break from the sun. The spa treatments are decent too, though I’d recommend booking early since slots fill up fast.

Why Guests Love It

Here’s what I think sets this place apart — it’s that sweet spot between being organized enough to feel professional but relaxed enough to actually unwind. The staff remembers your name after a day or two, the restaurant options don’t get boring, and there’s always something happening if you want to join in (or quiet corners if you don’t). Recent guests keep mentioning how well-located everything feels once you settle in, and I get it. Sometimes the best vacation spot isn’t the one in the middle of everything — it’s the one that gives you exactly what you need without the chaos.

  The hotel's location is great, just in the middle of the jungle with a nice small beach and many pools to enjoy, the staff is super friendly, special shout out to the Lobby Bar staff they were just amazing! Breakfast and Lunch are buffet with many delicious and fresh options, Dinner requires a reservation to one of there many options; the Asian restaurant has great food, but the Mexican one def has the best views. Also liked that there are different activities every night which are a nice way to enjoy a drink and have fun.

  Incredible aesthetics. The hotel could not be more beautiful if it tried. Incredible views, beautiful rooms and really comfy beds and really clean everywhere. The staff are super friendly: on check in we got moved from casa 4 to casa 2 which as 2 adults was great to be nearer the main hotel (kids area is more casa 6 where the buffet is).
  
  If you want to walk to the main hotel from casa 2 it’s fast but to casa 6 is about 10 minutes which feels a lot in that heat. But we never had to walk the full way, a buggy always offered to pick us up on route.
  Also lots of separate pools for different vibes, party pools, quiet pools and kid pools.
  
  Lovely shop on site and the 24/7 cafe is great. The staff are super welcoming. The sea salt bar in casa 2 is my favourite place to eat and the la luz Italian restaurant.

  I loved everything, the staffs they are amazing, respectful, kind. Fast service. I loved how there’s many different restaurants to eat. The steak house was my favorite. Eddy and Eleazar they are 5 stars staff member.

  The Hilton Tulum was absolutely beautiful. I went with my sister for a girls trip and it was truly a relaxing time (we are 19 and 21). We lounged by the pool each day, made use of the fitness centre, and did aqua aerobics every afternoon. We spent a lot of time at the main pools, where one is more reserved, and the other for socializing. So there are options for everyone! The property has 4 restaurants, in which we did the Mexican, steak house and Japanese. The service was on point and we enjoyed the food very much. The buffet had a range of choices and was never overcrowded. The entertainment at night consisted of dancing which we loved, but with the rain we sadly only experienced it 2 out of 4 of our nights there. The property itself is stunning and large. Our room in particular was very clean and well taken care of. The architecture and detail is very impressive, making it the perfect place to take lots of photos.

  The Tulum Hilton is new, and the rooms are super-nice. The staff is very attentive, and there is abundant wildlife all around the resort (iguanas, Coatimundi, lizards.) Really GREAT pool areas.
