Hotel Casa Tortuga Tulum – Cenotes Park Inclusive Overview

First Impressions

When I first pulled up to Hotel Casa Tortuga Tulum – Cenotes Park Inclusive, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from a five-star property tucked away on the Federal Highway. But you know what? This place completely surprised me. The entrance feels like you’re stepping into a private jungle retreat — there’s this immediate sense of luxury that doesn’t feel pretentious or overdone. The staff greeted me with genuine warmth, and I could tell right away this wasn’t going to be your typical cookie-cutter resort experience.

Location & Jungle Setting

The location is actually brilliant, even though it’s not beachfront like some other Tulum hotels. Being positioned on Carretera Federal puts you perfectly between the ruins and the beach zone, but what really sets this place apart is the cenotes access — I mean, it’s right there in the name for a reason. You’re surrounded by lush jungle, and the property feels incredibly private and secluded. Couples absolutely love it here, and I can see why — there’s something romantic about being nestled in the Mayan jungle while still having easy access to everything Tulum offers.

The Room Experience

My room was honestly stunning — spacious, elegantly designed with natural materials that complement the jungle setting perfectly. The attention to detail impressed me, from the locally-sourced textiles to the way the windows frame the surrounding greenery. What I really appreciated was how they managed to create a luxurious space that still feels authentic to the region. The bathrooms are particularly gorgeous, with rainfall showers that make you feel like you’re bathing in the jungle (in the best possible way).

Dining & Amenities

The breakfast situation here is solid — they offer both Continental and American options, which covers most preferences. I actually found myself looking forward to morning meals, especially when I could grab a table overlooking the jungle canopy. The restaurant focuses on fresh, local ingredients, and you can taste the difference. There’s also free private parking, which might seem like a small thing, but trust me, it’s a relief when you’re exploring the area by car and don’t want to worry about where to leave it.

Why Guests Love It

What really makes this place special is how it balances luxury with that authentic Tulum vibe — something that’s honestly getting harder to find as the area develops. The cenotes access is incredible if you’re into swimming in these natural pools, and the jungle setting means you’ll fall asleep to actual nature sounds instead of traffic. Recent guests consistently rate the location highly, and I get it — you’re close enough to everything but far enough away to feel like you’ve escaped. It’s the kind of place where you can disconnect without feeling isolated, if that makes sense.

The luxury concierge service in Tulum secures sunrise yacht charters, VIP beach club tables, and bespoke wellness itineraries under jungle canopies.

Everyone was super friendly and we had a great time at the cenotes. We arrived late and were greeted by a number of cute doggos. We found out that the owner rescues dogs so if you want to support the cause this is a great place. The dinner at the cenote cave was amazing and we had a great time!
