The four-star property has this understated elegance that feels authentically Mexican rather than trying too hard to impress.

Location & Surroundings

Here’s the thing about this stretch of coastline — it’s where locals would choose to stay if they were splurging on a beach vacation. You’re in what’s genuinely the best-rated area in Tulum, and I can see why couples give it such high marks (the 9.3 rating makes total sense when you’re watching sunrise over the Caribbean with hardly anyone else around). The beach access is direct, no crowded walkways or fighting for space, and you’ve got some of the region’s most interesting cenotes within a reasonable drive. Plus, there’s free parking right on-site, which — trust me — is not something you can take for granted around here.

The Room Experience

My room had this perfect balance of comfort and local character that you don’t always find in beachfront properties. The design feels intentionally Mexican without being kitschy, and the ocean views are genuinely spectacular (though honestly, even the jungle-view rooms have their own appeal with all the bird sounds). What I really appreciated was how well-maintained everything felt — you know how some beach hotels can get a bit worn around the edges from the salt air? Not here.

Breakfast is where this place really shows its thoughtfulness. They’ve got continental, vegetarian, and American options, which sounds simple but actually covers what most travelers want without being overwhelming. I mean, when you’re planning beach days and cenote adventures, you don’t want to spend an hour deciding what to eat. The restaurant has this relaxed vibe where you can linger over coffee while planning your day, and the staff genuinely knows the area well enough to give you solid recommendations.

You’re far enough from the main drag to have that authentic beach escape experience, but close enough that exploring Tulum’s archaeological sites or trying different cenotes doesn’t become a major expedition. The property attracts people who want to experience the real Riviera Maya without sacrificing comfort, and honestly, that’s exactly what it delivers.

  The Free breakfast was delicious. It is a walk up so don’t get too intoxicated. The room is spacious and yes you can hear the beach bar next door but it isn’t extremely loud where you can’t sleep. It is in great walking distance to a lot of things.

  Owner/manager Marta was beyond amazing and went out of her way to make sure everything is ok. Got to witness and experience sea turtle hatching and release into the ocean at night. One of the most memorable experiences. I am forever grateful and will come back. Breakfast was delicious. Beach front was nice and the seagrass was cleaned away.
