The location in Tulum City Centre is honestly perfect, especially if you’re traveling as a couple — and trust me, there’s a reason couples rate it so highly at 9.2. You’re close enough to walk to restaurants and shops, but far enough from the main drag that you’re not dealing with constant noise. What really impressed me was the free private parking right on site — in Tulum, that’s actually a big deal since finding a decent spot can be a nightmare during peak season. I mean, you don’t realize how much stress that eliminates until you’re not circling blocks looking for somewhere to leave your rental car.

The Room Experience

The room itself strikes that sweet spot between comfort and style. The beds are genuinely comfortable (not just hotel-marketing comfortable), and there’s enough space to spread out without feeling like you’re rattling around in an oversized suite. The bathrooms are well-designed — good water pressure, which honestly can make or break a stay in this part of Mexico. Air conditioning works properly too, which might sound basic but you’ll appreciate it when it’s humid outside and you want to cool down after a day exploring the ruins.

The restaurant serves solid food that goes beyond typical hotel fare — they actually put thought into the menu rather than just offering generic international dishes. Breakfast is particularly good, with fresh local ingredients that taste like they were picked that morning.   I stayed in the tepee tent – pretty spacious and air conditioning was great. Bed was comfortable. The pool area is nice too. I spent a week and was working from the premises – internet worked great. Well located with many great restaurant options around.

  All the staff are so lovely and helpful! The pool and bar are nice to have after a hot day cycling around. The place is quiet and well maintained, with comfy chill out area above the pool and kitchen to use after 2pm. Breakfast is available as is lunch. I stayed in the dorm room and there was a huge locker available plus safe, personal fan and plug socket. Air con from 9pm to 9am in the dorm. Pool towel and personal towel provided

  It was immaculate. It Is very, very clean. The hostess is a ten out of ten. I almost cried when I had to leave. They will do anything to make sure you are happy. I will never visit another place other than Mimosa hostel. It is my favorite place to stay in Tulum.

  I loved the rooftop lounge area, and the morning coffees. The pool was refreshing to swim or just dangle your feet in. The people, staff and other guests, were delightful, friendly and easygoing! The room was easy to get comfy in, and the shower was lovely and large! We were close to everything could walk or bike wherever we wanted. And the staff gave lots of good recommendations!

  Jimmy and the staff run a nice hostel. The place is clean, and spacious with lots of room to spread out. Doesn’t really feel like a hostel but more a hotel in ways with all the amenities offered for the stay. I enjoyed this place and would stay here again and again.
