The rooms here are surprisingly spacious (way bigger than I expected for a Motto property), and they’ve got this clean, minimalist vibe with pops of color that somehow don’t feel generic. What I really appreciated was the blackout curtains – and trust me, you’ll want them because Tulum mornings start early with street sounds from the avenue. The air conditioning is powerful, which is clutch during those humid afternoons. Each room has a decent workspace if you need to catch up on emails, plus the WiFi actually works well throughout the property. The bathrooms are modern with good water pressure, though the shower doors are a bit finicky – just something I noticed.

Well, here’s where it gets good – the location is absolutely spot-on. You’re literally a 5-minute walk to Parque de los Cenotes and about 10 minutes to the main strip where all the good tacos are (I’m talking about El Asadero on Avenida Cobá – locals know). The hotel restaurant serves solid international fare, nothing groundbreaking but definitely reliable, and their breakfast is actually pretty generous. Parking is included, which is huge because finding a spot in central Tulum can be a nightmare, especially during high season. The staff here genuinely seems happy to help – they gave me great recommendations for cenotes that weren’t overrun with tourists. Honestly, the pool area is where you’ll probably spend your afternoons; it’s got this nice contemporary design with plenty of shade, and there’s usually a good mix of travelers without feeling overcrowded. The only minor thing is that being on Avenida Tulum means you’ll hear some traffic noise, but it dies down after 10 PM. Overall, it strikes that sweet spot between convenience and comfort – you’re close enough to walk everywhere but far enough from the beach chaos to actually get some rest.

  Great location. In walking distance from many restaurants and supermarket. You can also bike to the public beaches easily from this location. The hotel is new and modern. It's absolutely gorgeous. When you think of tulum aesthetics, Motto should come to mind. It's all earth tones, beautiful pottery, baskets, hammocks, and modern furniture. Downstairs of the hotel also has some shopping. It's simply amazing 10/10
