My Soul Home Studios Overview
First Impressions
Walking into My Soul Home Studios, you immediately get that “this isn’t your typical hotel” feeling. It’s one of those places where the name actually makes sense — there’s something genuinely homey about the whole setup, even though you’re right in the heart of Tulum. The four-star property has this relaxed, almost residential vibe that honestly caught me off guard in the best way possible. You know how some places try too hard to be boutique? This isn’t that — it feels effortless.
The Studios Themselves
Each room is actually a proper studio, which I mean, the name gives it away, but the space really delivers on that promise. You’ve got a proper kitchenette setup that’s actually functional — not just some mini-fridge and microwave situation. The layout feels thoughtful, like someone who actually travels designed these spaces. There’s enough room to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped, and the natural light streaming in during the day makes everything feel airy and open. The studios are designed with comfort and practicality in mind.
Location Magic
Here’s the thing about Calle 12 Sur — you’re close enough to everything that matters but far enough from the main drag that you’re not dealing with constant noise. I could walk to the beach zone restaurants without breaking a sweat, but when I wanted to chill at the property, it actually felt peaceful. The couples who stay here seem to really get it — there’s something about the location that just works for romantic getaways. You’re not isolated, but you’re not in the thick of the party scene either. This balance is what makes the location truly special.
What Makes It Special
The whole place has this understated elegance that feels very Tulum without being cliché. No fake cenote pools or over-the-top jungle themes — just clean lines, natural materials, and spaces that breathe. The staff genuinely seems to care about your experience, but they’re not hovering. There’s a parking area that’s secure, which honestly matters more than you’d think in Tulum. The property maintains this perfect balance between being polished and feeling authentic.
Why Guests Love It
Recent guests keep mentioning the location in their reviews, and after staying there, I totally get why. It’s that sweet spot where you feel connected to what makes Tulum special without sacrificing comfort or convenience. The studios give you independence — you can grab groceries and make your own breakfast, or head out to explore the incredible food scene. Couples especially seem drawn to the intimate scale and the fact that it doesn’t feel like a massive resort. You’re staying somewhere that feels curated and personal, which is exactly what you want when you’re trying to disconnect and reconnect with someone special. This property truly delivers on its promise.
Best hotels in Tulum balance eco-chic design, rooftop infinity pools, and mezcal tastings under starlit palms.

I stayed solo in the Gozo flat for a few days. I loved that part of the pool runs passed to the room and the patio door opens up to that little oasis with a hammock to boot! The kitchenette has everything you need for a longer stay, the refrigerator is a great size, the layout is great; it feels spacious.
The grounds are very peaceful and intimate. I would love to rent the entire place out with our friends so we could all be neighbors in this little cove of paradise in one of the coolest parts of Tulum!
Checking in was super easy and my hosts were always accessible for questions and great at communication in that they provided all the info that I needed well in advance.
The location is fantastic! You are a quick walk from tons of restaurants, food stands, bars, shops, co-working spaces, convenience stores, laundry, gyms, yoga, and pretty much everything you want or need to help enjoy your time.Ermanno from United States (9/10)
Our recent stay at this property was truly exceptional. The accommodations were immaculate, offering all the comforts one could desire, coupled with a touch of elegance that elevated our entire experience.

Extremely comfortable apartment, right in the heart of La Veleta and within walking distance of most of the nicest restaurants/bars in the area. The apartment has everything you need for a comfortable stay: it is spaceous, bright and kitted out for cooking if you wanted to. We spent 7 days and it became a comfortable base. The pool is also a great feature.
The place lives up the stunning photos, clean and comfortable.

Beautifully decorated, lots of light, large space for 2. Comfortable bed. Wifi was working great. Very nice people overall, super discreet.

Super accommodating host. I went to Tulum for Mauy Thai training. The location was 50m from The gym. Everything I needed was close by. The atmosphere and vibe in the area is very welcoming. The home is beautiful and clean. Everything I could ask for.. it was perfect 🙏

Location is central in La Veleta. It’s August so it is super hot. The apartment is stylish, and well laid out. I had an upstairs with a small pool which I did not use. There is coffee, oils utensils, etc. shades help keep the heat out. A pitcher of water is in the fridge. Fans in both living room and bedroom.

Fantastic location, just a short walk to bars and restaurants. It helps to have a car to get to the beach

Very nice and authentic space, ideal for solo travelers. I stayed for 2 weeks and had no incidents, the host was always in reach if I needed help. Location is perfect with many cute restaurants around. I felt very safe.

This property is well-kept, clean and comfortable. I enjoyed the decor and the morning light. It is also walkable to the city center and there are some nice bars/restaurants around in the local neighborhood (La Veleta). I enjoyed people watching from the rooftop private pool. Good value for price.

Great location, the room had everything we needed, was lovely and quiet. Recommendations from the hosts were awesome, lots of little cafe's and shopping around the nearby streets. Great for a longer stay. we stayed for a week.
