I mean, location is everything in Tulum, and NEST really nailed it. You’re about 9.5 kilometers down the Boca Paila road, which puts you in that sweet spot where you’re close enough to the action but far enough to feel like you’ve escaped. The beach access is direct — no walking through other properties or dealing with crowds. What I really appreciated was the free parking right on-site, which honestly saves you a headache since finding a spot along this stretch can be brutal during peak season.

The Room Experience

My room had this perfect balance of rustic charm and modern comfort that Tulum does so well when it’s done right. The design feels intentionally simple — think natural materials, plenty of light, and those little touches that make you want to just hang out and relax. The air conditioning actually works (not always a given in this area), and the bathroom setup was surprisingly spacious. I loved that they didn’t try to cram too much into the space — sometimes less really is more, especially when you’re spending most of your time on the beach anyway.

Morning Routine and Practical Perks

Breakfast here is continental style, which works perfectly if you’re planning beach days or early cenote trips. They also do breakfast to go, which I used a couple times when I wanted to catch sunrise on the beach — smart touch, really. The restaurant keeps things simple but well-executed, focusing on fresh ingredients and local flavors without trying to be overly fancy. What struck me was how the staff seemed to genuinely care about making sure you had what you needed, whether that was restaurant recommendations or help arranging transportation.

There’s a reason couples rate this place so highly for romantic getaways — it’s got that intimate, peaceful atmosphere that makes you want to disconnect and just be present. The beach location means you can literally roll out of bed and be on white sand within minutes, but you’re also positioned well for exploring Tulum’s cenotes and ruins. I think what sets NEST apart is that it doesn’t try to be everything to everyone — it’s just a really solid, well-run place that understands what people actually want from a Tulum beach experience.   Absolutely stunning with the most amazing staff I have ever seen at a hotel. The food was delicious, rooms were beautiful and well thought out, and the beach was something else! It was never too crowded and easy to feel at peace at the little jungle nooks they created and I never had a problem getting a beach cabana. If I come back to Tulum I wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else but here.
