Siente Tulum Overview
You know what, Siente Tulum really surprised me when I stayed there last spring. I mean, Tulum has so many hotels these days, but this 4-star spot genuinely feels different – more intimate, less Instagram-y than some of the bigger names along the beach strip. The property sits in a perfect sweet spot where you’re close enough to walk to the main drag (maybe 10 minutes to reach Avenida Tulum), but far enough away that you don’t hear the late-night party crowd stumbling back from Gitano or Papaya Playa.
Honestly, what struck me first was how the staff actually remembers your name after day one – and I’m talking genuine warmth, not just hospitality training. The rooms have this gorgeous natural vibe with local wood and stone, plus those dreamy outdoor showers that make you feel like you’re bathing in a cenote (though way more private, obviously). Each room comes with a little kitchenette setup, which turned out to be clutch for storing fresh fruit from the Sunday market and making morning coffee before heading to the ruins. The beds are seriously comfortable too – I’m picky about mattresses, and theirs had just the right firmness after long days exploring.
The location is honestly perfect if you want to experience real Tulum beyond just the beach scene. You’re walking distance from some incredible local taquerias (there’s this unmarked spot on Calle Centauro that serves the best cochinita pibil), and it’s super easy to rent bikes and cruise around the pueblo. Parking was never an issue when we took day trips to Cobá or Dos Ojos – they have this shaded area that kept our rental car cool. The hotel restaurant serves solid breakfast, though I’d skip dinner there and venture out instead (way too much good food nearby to stay put). Mornings are blissfully quiet – you’ll wake up to bird songs rather than construction noise, which seems rare in Tulum these days. The small spa area is lovely for unwinding after beach days, nothing fancy but the massage therapist Maria works absolute magic on sun-tired shoulders. One heads up though – the wifi can be spotty during afternoon storms (pretty standard for the area), so don’t plan on important video calls. But honestly, that forced disconnect ended up being exactly what we needed.

Reviews of Siente Tulum
- Milena from Switzerland (9/10)- Just about absolutely everything. The hotel is perfect, everything the room, restaurant, the view on the ruins and the reserve park around, it is all green, sunny and beautiful. Staff are most kind, professional and attentive, and speak perfect English. This place is fantastic. I give this hotel more than 10, this is 10+.
- Dara from United States (9/10)- The deal that I got on my king room was unbeatable, and ur also included 1 free experience of my choice. I unfortunately never got to doing my free experience, but getting the offer was a nice touch. But to me, the selling point was the staff. In the 5 nights we were there, we grew to learn the staff’s name and bonded with them well. Their sincerity, hospitality, and professionalism went above and beyond my expectations. We saw the same pleasant faces everyday, and I genuinely enjoyed interacting with each every one of them. I hope they knew how grateful I was.
- Romero from United States (9/10)- Room was great and clean and the service was exceptional.
