Siwa Tulum Unique Hotel & Spa Overview

First Impressions

Walking into Siwa Tulum Unique Hotel & Spa, you immediately understand why this five-star property has such a devoted following among couples. The entrance feels like stepping into a modern cenote — there’s this incredible interplay of natural stone, flowing water features, and carefully curated lighting that honestly took my breath away. Located right in the heart of Tulum, you’re close enough to everything that matters but far enough from the main drag to feel like you’ve discovered something special.

The Luxury Experience

What sets this place apart is how they’ve managed to blend authentic Mexican design with genuine luxury touches. Each room feels like a private sanctuary, with handcrafted furnishings and these amazing rainfall showers that make you want to stay in longer than you probably should. The spa treatments here are something else entirely — I mean, they use traditional Mayan healing techniques alongside modern wellness practices, and you can actually feel the difference. The therapists know their craft, and the treatment rooms overlook lush gardens that make the whole experience feel almost ceremonial.

Dining and Atmosphere

The continental breakfast is served in their main restaurant, and while it might sound simple, they’ve elevated it with local fruits I’d never tried before and fresh-baked pastries that pair perfectly with their exceptional coffee. What I loved most was how they source ingredients from local suppliers — you can taste the difference in everything from the honey to the tropical fruit selections. The dining area opens onto a courtyard where you’ll often spot colorful birds, and honestly, it’s one of those moments where you remember why you traveled here in the first place.

Location and Practical Perks

The hotel’s position on Calle 35 Poniente puts you within walking distance of Tulum’s best cenotes and about a ten-minute bike ride from the beach — they’ll arrange transportation, but I actually enjoyed the short walk through the neighborhood. There’s free private parking if you’re driving, which is surprisingly rare in this area and makes exploring the wider Riviera Maya much easier. You know what really impressed me though? The staff genuinely seems to love working here, and their recommendations for local spots were spot-on every time.

Why Guests Love It

This place has earned its 8.4 rating because it delivers on the promise of authentic luxury without feeling pretentious. Couples especially gravitate here because there’s something inherently romantic about the property — maybe it’s the way the lighting changes throughout the day, or how the sound of water features creates this constant, soothing backdrop. The attention to detail is remarkable, from the locally-made soaps in your room to the way they remember your coffee preferences after just one morning. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find yourself planning your return visit before you’ve even checked out.

I had an amazing time at Siwa! The property is gorgeous because you are literally in the middle of the jungle. If you are looking for a nature/wellness retreat in Tulum, look no further. The rooms are gorgeous and the private pools are the cherry on top. The food and drinks are delicious and made this foodie happy, from taste to presentation. The spa experience was top tier. You would never get the Ixchel Ritual (what I had) for the price I paid in the US! And last but certainly not least, THE STAFF IS AMAZING! Every, single day of staying at Siwa was like being with family. As a solo traveler, staff can make or break your experience, but Siwa staff DEFINITELY made mine! There was a hiccup with my airport transportation but Pily, Ruben and a couple other ladies at the front desk took care of everything! Fabiola at the spa was wonderful! David, the bartender, was always great to see and made sure I was taken care of, as did Diana, Marai and all of the wait staff in the restaurant! Every single staff member, including room service, housekeeping and grounds keepers, was so personable, warm and welcoming! I cannot recommend Siwa enough and I cannot wait to return!

The staff were amazing. So helpful with information and very accommodating. They were very friendly and helped my friends surprise me with decorations, cake, champagne, and ballons in my room. It was so lovely. I will definitely stay there again.

The jungle treehouse feel was impressive. There’s a signature scent throughout the property and the spa was a nice experience. The manager Daniel was also very helpful.

  • Michael from Switzerland (7/10)

The hotel is in the middle of the jungle and you will almost feel in the middle of the oasis. The staff of the restaurant was extremely attentive and the food was and looked amazing. The apartment we had was really nice and modern. We even had our own little pool. The staff reacted very quickly when there was something we asked for.
