Vida Boho Apart 17 with special fee to access Hotel Bardo Overview
First Impressions
When I first pulled up to Vida Boho Apart 17 with special fee to access Hotel Bardo, I’ll be honest — the name had me curious about what exactly I was getting into. This four-star property sits right in the heart of Tulum City Centre, and you immediately get that laid-back boho vibe that Tulum does so well. The fact that there’s parking right on-site was actually a relief, because finding a spot in this area can be tricky during peak season.
The Boho Experience
What makes this place interesting is how it blends the apartment-style living with access to Hotel Bardo’s amenities — honestly, it’s like getting the best of both worlds. The boho aesthetic isn’t just thrown together either; there’s real thought behind the design choices. You know what I mean when you see those carefully curated textiles and natural materials that actually feel authentic rather than Instagram-manufactured. The whole setup works particularly well for couples, which makes sense given how many pairs I noticed during my stay.
Your Space
The apartment itself gives you that independence you sometimes crave when traveling. I mean, having your own space to spread out and not feel like you’re living out of a suitcase for a few days — that’s worth something. The room layout is thoughtfully done, with enough character to feel special but practical enough that you’re not constantly bumping into decorative objects. The natural light streaming in during the day really shows off those boho touches without making everything feel too staged. Every corner invites you to settle in and truly relax.
Location Perks
Being in Tulum City Centre means you’re actually where locals go about their daily business, not just stuck in the hotel zone. You can walk to proper Mexican restaurant spots that don’t charge resort prices, and there’s something refreshing about being part of the real rhythm of the town. The beach is still totally accessible, but you get to experience Tulum beyond just the coastline — which honestly gives you a fuller picture of what this place is really about. This authentic positioning sets it apart from typical resort experiences.
Why Guests Love It
The combination of independence and hotel perks really hits the sweet spot for a lot of travelers. You’re not dealing with the hassle of a full vacation rental booking, but you’re also not stuck with typical hotel limitations. The special access to Hotel Bardo adds another layer — it’s like having a membership to amenities without committing to staying there directly. Couples especially seem to appreciate having their own space while still being able to tap into those extra services when they want them. The whole experience feels more authentic than your standard Tulum hotel stay, and that’s probably why people keep coming back.
Tulum’s hotels balance barefoot luxury, mezcal tastings, and artisan pop-ups lining boho-chic beach roads.

We had a fantastic time during our stay here! The host was always quick to respond, and she even gave us a heads-up about a scheduled power outage in Tulum. This thoughtful notice allowed us to plan ahead, ensuring we could make coffee before the outage hit.
The apartment's vibe perfectly captured the essence of Tulum – minimal, chic, and natural, creating a comfortable atmosphere. The kitchen was well-stocked for cooking, and the bathroom was spotless, complete with provided shampoo. With a secure front gate featuring a passcode lock and a vigilant security guard, we felt completely safe throughout our stay.
The location is pretty good as well. It's about 20 minutes from the beach area, however, we preferred this as it was quiet. We also enjoyed exploring downtown Tulum and going to local spots to eat.Julia from United Kingdom (8/10)
Lovely small apartment, with everything you need for your stay. clean and comfy. Roof top pools are small but lovely.
staff were really helpful and quick to respond.
No TV in the living area, only in the bedroom.
Bikes on offer, were in bad shape, and not instructions on where keys for the locks are. you couldn't travel far on them.
location is good, but I wouldn't walk back from town alone!
Really lovely stay.Nienke from Belgium (9/10)
We really liked our stay. The apartments where very beautiful and practical. It’s 20min walk to the center but we enjoyed the rest to be outside of the loud parties, and it was close to Foodtrucks which were very nice to eat. You also have 2 bikes that you can borrow included in the price so you can easily get everywhere you want.
We also liked the pools on the roof where we sat in the day or evening, and Netflix that we could watch before bed.
The staff was really nice ane immediately helped us if something was wrong. Not everyone was good in English but we could speak via Google Translate.Jade from Australia (9/10)
Apartment was exactly as pictured. The host was very responsive and provided some great tips of local places to eat. The small rooftop pool was great after a long day out in the heat. The apartment was relatively spacious with lots of room in the bedroom. Was nice to have a living room with a couch and a kitchen as opposed to being in a hotel room with just a bed. There was one amazing food venue within walking distance, which was similar to an outdoor food truck festival, but there everynight. Lots of options, good drinks, and lots of locals. There was also a salsa night.

Facilities were great. Access to Bardo was a bonus. Rooms are an excellent size and aircon worked well.

Beautifully designed apartment with lovely interiors that exceed the reasonable price point. Good size kitchen and bedroom with Ac & a fan. The main host was responsive and communicative.

The room was amazing but we arrived in the afternoon and stayed 40min in front of the door and the hotel was absolutely empty, there's nobody at the reception no matter time of the day, after 40min someone from the staff randomly opens the door but they could not proceed the check in because no one was really working there … very unusual situation !
Be careful, half the pictures you see about the swimming pool etc is not the same Hotel 😉 !
Beside that, we had an amazing stay and the room is really awesome, rooftop is worth the price too !
